Missouri Nurses Foundation's Early Career Nurse Innovator Award
The Missouri Nurses Foundation (MNF) is recognizing early-career nurse innovators - nurses who have led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians - with awards of $500.
Registered nurses who have been in practice for seven years or less and have led or developed nurse-led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians are encouraged to apply.
The Missouri Nurses Foundation is committed to recognizing the high-quality work that nurses in the early stages of their careers are demonstrating. What better way to encourage the important evidence-based, patient-centered work that is at the heart of all that nurses do?
The Foundation’s emphasis on the Early-Career Nurse Innovator award is one part of this organization’s philanthropic focus to support nurse-led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians.
Past winners have included:
Evidence to Support Stimulant Laxatives in Postoperative Cardiothoracic Patients
Established New Evidence for Practice Change in Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy Patients
Interventions for Distressed Dementia Patients
Development of a Regional Mentoring Program
Each one of these awardees has been a professional nurse for less than 7 years—and through this state-wide award process, we have showcased the fine work of these nurses in the early stages of their careers.
Individuals and team leaders are eligible to apply. Deadline for applications is October 16, 2020, at 1700. Awardees will be announced in November.
The $500 monetary awards will be given by the Foundation, along with media support from the Missouri Nurses Association.
